MEET THE COACHES
HEAD COACH
Jordan Peitzman
Program Director • BJJ Black Belt

All programs at Precision Submission Grappling are led by Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt, Jordan Peitzman.

For over a decade, Jordan has been heavily involved in the Des Moines Jiu Jitsu community as a practitioner, coach, competitor, and promoter of the grappling arts.

Jordan has designed and led thousands of practices, coached countless athletes to success both on and off the mats, and competed in more than 200 matches himself. His coaching stands out for its clarity and effectiveness. He excels at breaking down complex movements and strategies into simple, task-based focuses, helping students of all ages progress quickly.

Specializing in No-Gi Jiu Jitsu, Jordan employs a constraints-led approach to skill development. Instead of rote memorization, students engage in task-based “games” that encourage exploration, problem-solving, and understanding the “why” behind every movement.

Jordan’s passion for the grappling arts began with high school wrestling, pro wrestling, and the UFC, and turned into a lifelong pursuit when he started training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in 2013. Before opening Precision Submission Grappling in 2024, Peitzman spent nine years leading programs for youth and adults at No Coast Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

Peitzman is also the founder of the Midwest’s premier no-gi Jiu Jitsu and submission grappling tournament, Sub Spectrum.
